Presence Forms Training Example
Purpose:
This page provides an example of adding a form to a page. In a "real-world" scenario, webpages containing forms are normally used for more than one purpose. Often a webpage initially describes an issue, or a specific topic, and then a forms portlet is added to help web visitors complete a task, or help the webpage owner gather information.
Another option might be to add a form to an existing page for a short amount of time. The purpose behind this gather information on a timely topic (sports activities, event registration, etc.). The form may be minimized during specific times of the year and enabled during other times.
Another possible option is to add a page that only contains the form. This allows web developers to assign a specific URL to the specific form. The URL is then used in marketing and email materials to drive traffic to the specific form.
